The news and the media can scare people. If it is negative which it almost always is, then it can trigger a negative domino effect on peoples behavior and thoughts. This is made worse during a recession or when stress levels are high. When you don't know what to do in life, it is more than likely because you are stressed and are unable to think clearly. The best thing to do is to come up with some long and short term goals. Then, it would be a good idea to talk to a life coach, career coach, therapist or councilor. Try research the best one in your area to suit your needs. It's better to use a professional rather than a friend because you don't need friendly comfort but clear thought guidance. When I was not sure what to do, I went to a career coach because I realised my problem was to do with my job. Then, my coach and I came up with a strategy of how to get me from A to B. It was a weight of my shoulders and enabled me to think more clearly and focus
