GOING BACK TO AN OLD JOB

Have you ever been desperate enough to go back to an old job. Well, I would not recommend it, even its only for a day.

One day, my previous job calls me into the office because they are desperately short staffed.

Agreeing is perhaps the worst decision I ever made. Going back into the office that let me go is weird and unsettling. ‘Oh you are back’ says everyone who passes me by. They all look confused at my return.

I have not been gone long but to them it is a lifetime. The day couldn't end quicker and even my manager senses it is an unpleasant experience for me.

Feeling paranoid that everyone is talking about me even though they are probably not is tearing me up inside. Never again.

On reflection, my mind had already decided before I went to work, that the day was not going to be good. Trying to rewire your subconscious thoughts can be tricky.

UNEMPLOYED, BORED AND FEELING DEPRESSED

A couple of months ago, I googled  ‘unemployed and bored’ because my head was about to melt off from doing absolutely nothing at home.  Subsequently, I found a couple of blogs so I thought I would do something similar. This is made worse during a recession or when stress levels are high.    When you don't know what to do in life, it is more than likely  because you are stressed and are unable to think clearly. The best thing to do is to come up with some long and short term goals. Then, it would be a good idea to talk to a life coach, career coach, therapist or councilor. Try research the best one in your area to suit your needs. It's better to use a professional rather than a friend because you don't need friendly comfort but clear thought guidance. When I was not sure what to do, I went to a career coach because I realised my problem was to do with my job. Then, my coach and I came up with a strategy of how to get me from A to B. It was a weight of my shoulders and enabled me to t...
